Choosing a selfpolishing-only TBT-free antifouling may keep the hull free from fouling but only SeaQuantum smooths the hull. The value of this smoothing manifests itself from the first day in service with a continuing and progressive reduction in roughness.

This major advantage of SeaQuantum over other TBT-free antifoulings incurs an initial investment that is rapidly paid back. For example, an additional investment of US$ 60,000 in a SeaQuantum system compared to a selfpolishing-only antifouling would be paid back in only 20 months. In this example, from 20 months onwards additional savings would, of course, be generated and continue for the planned lifetime of the system.
